About Axmar Brygga - The Pier
Axmar Brygga Seaside Restaurant is a seafood restaurant with conference and banquet facilities located on the border between Gästrikland and Hälsingland, in the historically significant Axmarbruk, which was founded 350 years ago in 1671.
The slagstone building where the restaurant and conference/banquet rooms are housed previously stored iron bars and grain from the 1870s to the early 1900s.
The restaurant is situated in a beautiful nature reserve with untouched archipelago surroundings and abundant wildlife to offer.
Diners can either sit in the enclosed pier or inside the restaurant in a cozy 19th-century environment with an open fireplace and glistening slagstone walls providing a charming backdrop. There is also the option to sit privately on the second floor in the inviting banquet hall with its own bar. During the summer, the non-enclosed part of the pier is also open, where food can be enjoyed to the sound of the waves.
It's hard to imagine a more grandiose place to host a conference, company party, formal dinner, or grandma's birthday. The restaurant can accommodate up to 300 diners for bookings. The largest conference room can hold 60 people.
The restaurant receives over 50,000 visitors annually. Visiting Axmar Brygga Seaside Restaurant not only provides a culinary experience but also takes you on a 350-year journey back in time. Feel free to explore the entire bruk (industrial area) during your stay in Axmar.
